RJ brings to his coaching practice 15 years of diverse business and multi-cultural experience that includes venture capital investing in India and S.E. Asia, technology product development in Silicon Valley and investment banking on Wall Street. Prior to coaching, RJ was Head of South Asia investments for JAFCO Asia, a leading venture capital firm based in Singapore where he invested in many ventures across India and S.E. Asia, with a particular focus on the technology, telecom and manufacturing sectors. As Director on the Board of his portfolio companies he coached and advised CEOs on strategic, financial and operational matters and helped many of his companies scale their operations and attain profitable exits. RJ began his career in the late 90s in Silicon Valley with technology development and operational roles at industry-leading companies and start-ups where he built, led and managed large engineering teams developing next-generation communication products. RJ also spent two years with Morgan Stanley in New York, where he covered the technology sector as an Equity Research Analyst. After discovering that his true passion lay in catalyzing positive change RJ gave up a promising venture capital career to set up 'Radical Shift'. He collaborates with entrepreneurs that are looking to pick up new skills and evolve their leadership style as they transition from business-creation to business-building. His experience working with entrepreneurs and CEOs both in and out of the boardroom gives him deep insight into the unique set of challenges entrepreneurial CEOs face and allows him to provide direct, candid and constructive feedback on a wide range of business and personal issues. RJ finds coaching CEOs deeply fulfilling given the profound leverage these leaders have on their business, employees and the economy. He also provides coaching on a pro bono basis to a select number of early stage entrepreneurs every year. RJ has an MBA from Duke University and a M.S. degree in electrical engineering from The Ohio State University in the United States. He trained to be a coach with Coach U as well as with the International Coach Academy. He is active in the Singapore entrepreneurial ecosystem and mentors several startups. He blogs intermittently and is a frequent contributor to articles on entrepreneurship and leadership. |
