Katherine Twaddell, founder of Apeiron Consulting, focuses on corporate coaching at the MD and CEO level. Drawing from her extensive background in the global financial services, media and retail sectors, she has successfully guided many well-known industry leaders from organizations such as CLSA, HSBC, SAP, Lexmark, Astra-Zeneca, Estee Lauder and Diageo. Katherine also enjoys a loyal following within the growing ranks of Asia’s most successful entrepreneurs. She also acts, on assignment, with INSEAD, Europe’s leading Business school, as on of their Asia based coaches for their Leadership Development Programs. An American by birth, Katherine has studied and worked in Europe as well as having spent the last 13 years in Asia. She has first hand and in depth understanding of cross cultural issues and brings that to bear in her work with international clients. Katherine’s career started on Wall Street where she worked as a financial analyst before moving to Institutional Equity Sales with Conning & Company, a boutique firm focusing on the insurance sector. She then transferred to the UK in order to capitalise on her considerable following among European institutional investors as a specialist in US insurance company equities. Pegged as a financial knowledge leader, she joined the financial media sector and returned to New York, where she worked with leading media outlets such as Institutional Investor, CNN and Fortune Magazine. Katherine moved to Asia in 1993 and founded Fiddleheads, a chain of gourmet outlets, building the business over several years into a substantial operation. Katherine was a finalist in Singapore’s Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2001 at which point she sold the business and embarked on her coaching career. Katherine takes a holistic approach to Executive Coaching by identifying deep-seated drivers and values that enable her clients to transform and achieve performance breakthroughs. She employs numerous individual and corporate diagnostic tools including, among others, MBTI, SDI and CTT. Katherine has studied under the tutelage of some of the world’s leading coaching practitioners, including Sir John Whitmore and Graham Lee and is a member the International Coaching Federation and European Mentoring and Coaching Council. Katherine holds a BA in English Literature form New York University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from the University of Derby. “Very strong, empathetic and sympathetic. (Katherine’s)
encouragement and direction have helped me … focus my
efforts in a way that will help me succeed.” “Katherine is an exceptional listener and has a great
deal of insight, focus and empathy…The program is a highly
useful life tool. It is particularly valuable for the busiest
executives, especially those, ironically, who find it most difficult
to carve out time for the three-hour sessions.” “Katherine has a nice easy listening style and has had
enough experience in the commercial world to build good discussions
around issues. I found the overall experience very useful….my
thinking on some issues went for 30% clarity to over 80% clarity
as a result of our encounters.” “I have strong personality so Katherine worked out
well for me. She was firm and unobtrusive. Frank and helpful.
That style works well for me….I subscribe that learning
and change behaviour in adults can be achieved through coaching.
I can see the value of a coaching culture for myself and throughout
the corporation.” |
