Speed Networking: Practice Building Rapport Quickly and Effectively to Promote Your Coaching Practice

The September Monthly Meeting will present an opportunity for participants to practice the competencies of creating relationships and building rapport.

We will use a highly interactive, energetic and fun process to facilitate a series of short networking conversations among participants. During these conversations you will have many opportunities to share and find out more about each other, practice building rapport in a short time frame, and refining your “elevator pitch”. This process will allow participants to plant the seeds for future opportunities for collaboration, business referrals and mutual support.

Whether you are an experienced coach, an aspiring coach, a business leader or an HR professional, this meeting will provide a unique opportunity to practice the competency of connecting quickly and effectively with people. Join us to build your business, and get a better sense of who and what is out there in Singapore’s coaching community.

To gain the full benefit of the event, participants are encouraged to come armed with plenty of business cards and to give some thought to their one minute elevator pitch.

Dear ICF Community,

Welcome back from the Summer holidays! We have had a wonderful year of facilitators at our circle, thank you all for your contribution. September will be a good time to use our session to remind ourselves of the ICF Core Competencies, by having a structured peer coaching session based on our traditional ICF Singapore process.  Some of the past feedback from our peer coaches that have participated on this process remarked:

  • "The Peer Coaching circle has a natural ability for all participants to establish trust in such short time!"
  • "The part of the process on 'empathizing' is very powerful and eye opening, gentle and similarly very resourceful in providing diverse perceptions from different characters in the case at hand.  Amazing first experience for me!  Thanks and congrats!"
  • "It is valuable to take the different roles in the group, i.e. case provider, moderator, group member, as this really broadens perspectives."
  • "I enjoyed the power of the 'empathizing' segment in the process, as well as the honesty and the humility of the case provider."
