Peer Coaching is back!

The Peer Coaching Circle is open to all practicing Coaches who are ICF members and have completed a minimum of 60 hours of coach-specific training. Attending monthly Peer Coaching sessions entitles you to valuable CCEU hours towards your on-going learning and renewal of your ICF certification.

The structured process provides Coaches with the opportunity to receive support and feedback on current real-life coaching challenges. Confidentiality is key to the process and a prerequisite for all participants.

What is Peer Coaching and the value of attending?

Peer Coaching is a forum for professional coaches to support each other to get 'unstuck' in challenging coaching situations, share expertise and learn from other skilled practitioners. It is for coaches who have the desire to continually hone their professional skills and contribute to the professional development of fellow coaches.

It involves following a facilitated process whereby a Case Presenter presents a current or recent coaching case and fellow coaches provide clarity and different perspectives by practicing active listening, powerful questioning and re-framing. Facilitators will be present to guide this process.

We will need a case provider-- if you have a coaching challenge that you would like some Peer Coaching on, please send an email to peercoaching@icfsingapore.org and we will follow up with you directly with more information.

Peer Coaching sessions are only for practicing coaches who are ICF members and have a minimum of 60 hours coach training. Participants will earn CCEUs.

As Peer Coaching involves coaches sharing real cases and we want to ensure confidentiality, you will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement if you wish to participate.

We look forward to welcoming you to this experiential and engaging evening!

Please note the venue: Gallery Helios, 38 Petain Road.

RSVP by July 17th, 2013 11:00am.

Due to the haze conditions we have decided to CANCEL the June Monthly Meeting. There will be no ICF Meeting on Monday, 24 June.

This is not an ideal decision, but considering the circumstances and the several requests we got from members to postpone the meeting, we feel that this is the right thing to do.

We will meet again at the July Monthly Meeting on 29 July.

Peer Coaching is back! At our next monthly meeting on June 24th we will offer you a firsthand experience of Peer Coaching, facilitated by Denise Pang, PCC (Click here for Denise’s bio).

After a brief introduction and overview of the value of Peer Coaching, we will break into smaller groups and engage in a real Peer Coaching session so that you can experience the benefits for yourself.

All are welcome to attend this kick-off session. But please note that the regular Peer Coaching sessions are only for practicing coaches who are ICF members and have a minimum of 60 hours coach training. More information on the venue, timings and costs of the regular sessions will be shared during the evening.

We will need at least five case providers who are willing to share their cases. So if you have a coaching challenge that you would like some Peer Coaching on, please send an email to peercoaching@icfsingapore.org and we will follow up with you directly with more information.

ABOUT INTERNATIONAL COACHING WEEK
International Coaching Week (ICW) is a weeklong global celebration of the coaching profession held annually. ICW is next scheduled for May 20-26, 2013.

Originally founded in 1999 by ICF member Jerri N. Udelson, MCC, ICW is a designated time each year for coaches and clients to educate the public about the value of working with a professional coach and to acknowledge the results and progress made through the coaching process.

During this extended commemoration, coaches around the world offer a variety of activities and pro bono services in their local communities to share what coaching has the ability to do.

The International Coach Federation is a proud sponsor of ICW. Coaches around the world are encouraged to participate by holding special events during International Coaching Week.

The Art of Hosting Powerful Group Conversations
In this workshop we will explore how to host, and be part of, a powerful group conversation. The approach is based on the Solution Focused model, a positive and practical approach is based on the philosophy that it is enquiry - as opposed to instruction - that creates lasting change and commitment. The group will be guided on an experiential and creative journey geared towards designing a “future perfect”, (which is SF lingo for: what do you want, and how will you know when you’ve got it?) in an area that is important to you. The approach is designed to uncover and build on resources, strengths and know-how that may be latent, under-used or unacknowledged. You will leave with some personal next steps and a powerfully simple methodology for hosting group conversations for positive change.
