About the Speaker

Feroshia Knight (MA, MCC) is an internationally renowned ICF Master Certified Coach, coach trainer, author, and presenter. Founder and Executive Director of Coach Training World in Portland, Oregon, USA, she is consulted throughout the world for her ability to see through the hidden layers of human complexity.

Her revolutionary methodology – Whole Person Coaching – is a multimodal approach incorporating narrative, somatic, cognitive, and relational psychologies and sciences. Feroshia’s upcoming book, Co-evolutionary Conversations, will be available in Fall 2021. It is the follow-up to her holistic coaching primer, Become the Successful Coach You Are Meant to Be, published in 2017.

Feroshia holds a master's degree in organization change and renewal from Seattle University/OSR-NW. Offering regular seminars on varied aspects of relational neuroscience and psychology, her expertise includes systems thinking, system dynamics, transformational learning theory, archetypal systems, and pattern analysis, as well as change management. She is also an NLP practitioner and certified project manager.

Are we biased? What is the purpose of biases in our behaviour? Can they help us in our coaching practice? Definitely not, they can represent a source of misunderstanding of our client’s situations and needs; leading to a non-effective coaching support. 

How to recognize those biases that limit our effectiveness and our client’s self-understanding? In this webinar we will learn how to listen identifying those biases and what are the right coaching questions to formulate that will bring positive results.

About the Speaker

Carlos has over 20 years of experience supporting the development of leaders and management teams alike on an international scale.Raised and educated in Argentina, Carlos lived and worked in Europe for twelve years, seven years in Canada and now is back in Europe. He works as an Executive & Performance Coach and gives workshops on Neuromanagement.Originally educated as a Medical Doctor in Argentina, Carlos draws on this training in medicine, and understanding of the brain, to apply neuromanagement coaching modalities that lead to sustainable change for his clients.

Over the course of his previous career, for more than twenty years he has also gained management experience in business executive roles working for multinationals such as Hoffmann-La Roche and Pharmacia Corp/Pfizer.

He is a professor of Neuromanagement in the MBA program at the University of New York in Prague and a thought leader with the Institute of Coaching at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate

The notion of being not good enough and the stress of feeling like you’re just about to get found out can be damaging and draining. The sense that at some point you're going to be exposed as a faker can be crippling to achievement and can cause anxiety and overwork. For those who experience this often it can lead to depression and disengagement.

While there's been much discussion about the 'imposter syndrome' delivered via social media channels recently, much of what is presented clouds the reality and complexity of the experience. More correctly called the impostor phenomenon (IP), the experience is common and despite a recent increase in publicity about the ‘imposter syndrome’, there’s a good deal of misunderstanding about the experience.

This session aims to identify what the impostor phenomenon actually is, where it comes from and why it’s so difficult to diminish. Exploring the social consequences and influences, this session situates IP as a suite of behaviours and thought patterns that are socially learned and therefore can be unlearned and offers some basic tools to allow coaches to help people examine and diminish their own experience of IP.

  • Understand the reality of the impostor phenomenon
  • Determine the antecedents and social cues that 'feed' impostor feelings
  • Explore coaching responses to impostor experiences in others

About the Speaker

Terri Simpkin is an industry experienced academic, educator, researcher, public speaker and an authority on the impostor phenomenon.

Terri is an Associate Professor and Head of MBA Programmes (Int’l) at the University of Nottingham and a Visiting Fellow at Anglia Ruskin University. Her current research interest has developed into Braver Stronger Smarter – a suite of initiatives designed to address personal and structural issues leading to workplace inequity and the under-representation of women in leadership, STEM occupations and higher education.

As CEO of her own company, Mischief Business Engineering, she has worked globally with governments, industry associations, large and small business and is an accomplished international academic manager.
